Rural Support Service of Latvia (RSS) has gathered the most important information about what was done in 2022 – all tasks have been successfully completed. More than 586 million euros were paid out in the area payments, investment measures, as well as in the state aid measures. Also, emergency support in agriculture and fisheries for mitigating economic consequences caused by the war was paid out fast this year.
Lot of attention was devoted to the implementation process of innovative solutions, the improvement of modern technologies used and the provision of support to clients. For example, the Electronic Application System has been developed, the Catalogue of Machinery and Equipment has been introduced, the range of RSS Mobile app services and virtual assistant IEVA has been expanded.
RSS actively have started preparation process for the new planning period (CAP) - in the agriculture it starts from 2023, but in the fisheries first rounds of support measures have already been announced previously. In order to inform clients and provide them with all the necessary support, information days in all 10 Customer Service Centers have been launched successfully.
