Since 2007, deputy director of the Rural Support Service of Latvia (RSS), since 2019 - director of RSS.
He started his career at RSS in 2002 as a senior specialist in the EU Direct Payments Department, after he became the head of section and then - director of the entire department.
In 2001, he graduated from the Agricultural University of Latvia, obtained Degree in Economics with a focus on regional development.
In 2005, he obtained a Master's Degree in Business.
Since 2007, G. Krumins has been a member of the monitoring committee at the Rural Development Programme in Latvia and the Action Programme for Fisheries Development, as well as acting deputy head of the selection committee in the Local Development Strategy directed by Society.
He participates in the working groups of EU Paying Agencies and Panta Rhei committees, as well as works on the development and coordination of EC Rural Development and Fisheries programmes.
Awards received by G. Krumins:
- RSS Letters of Appreciation in year 2006 and 2009,
- The medal of the Ministry of Agriculture for dedication, year 2010,
- The medal of the Rural Support Service for outstanding work, year 2014.
