Interreg logo un Latvijas-Lietuvas kartes ar informāciju par OASIS projektu

On February 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., a webinar organized by the Rural Support Service took place online on the Zoom platform.

During the seminar, participants were introduced to the possibilities of using the data available on the Rural Support Service (LAD) public map, specifying their fields with the help of satellite images, and learning about the most common mistakes in area payment applications. Map layers were demonstrated in practice and explanations were given on how to use this information in geospatial applications. The upcoming changes in geospatial applications, which are being introduced as part of the Interreg OASIS project, were also discussed.

The seminar agenda included:

  • the most common errors in geospatial area payment applications;
  • LAD public map layers and possibilities for using map information in the electronic application system;
  • use of satellite images in farmers' daily work;
  • preparation of more accurate geospatial data in the OASIS project.

This was the first seminar on the 2026 area payment season, which focused specifically on the preparation and refinement of geospatial information: refinement of field blocks, area inspection using data available on the LAD map. Further seminars are also planned on applying for area payments, the conditions for receiving them, and changes in 2026 – we invite you to follow the latest information on the LAD website and social networks.
