With the help of European Union LEADER project, SIA “EGADent” in Saldus has established a modern dental clinic, investing in the refurbishment of premises, state-of-the-art equipment and innovative treatment technologies. The aim of the project was to improve access to high-quality dental services in the Saldus district and to promote business development in the region.

Particular attention has also been paid to accessibility: the premises and equipment have been adapted to accommodate people with mobility impairments. Implementing the project has created two new jobs: one for a dentist and one for a dental assistant.

The clinic has acquired modern dental equipment to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis of the upper and lower jaws and surrounding areas, as well as enabling rapid, high-quality root canal treatment. An intraoral scanner has also been purchased to enable the acquisition of precise 3D images of patients' teeth and oral cavities, thereby improving diagnostic and treatment options.

Public interest confirms the need for such a service in the municipality. Not only has LEADER funding enabled business development, it has also given residents of Saldus Municipality the opportunity to receive modern dental care closer to home.
