The Aroniju farm is located in the Aizkraukle parish of the Aizkraukle district. It was founded with heart and soul by Signe Žuka and her family. From a few rows of bushes to a well-thought-out, competitive farm – this is the path that Aronijas has managed to achieve.

Although the farm's name includes the word "chokeberry," its main focus is the cultivation and processing of vegetables, especially winter garlic. The farm has chosen to follow the principles of organic farming, which ensures not only sustainable management, but also healthy and clean products.

A major step forward in development has been taken with the implementation of two Rural Support Service projects. One of the projects involved the purchase of a container and a dehydrator, which makes it possible to process garlic on site at the farm, while the other involved the purchase of a garlic harvester, a tractor and a greenhouse, which significantly facilitate and expand the work process.

All work on the farm is done by the family themselves, involving family members and creating a collaborative business model. Special emphasis is placed on creating added value for the products – the garlic grown on the farm is used to make a variety of tasty, healthy and original products, such as garlic pesto, marinated garlic cloves, garlic powder, black garlic, holiday gifts, and garlic flower bouquets.

Each product is created with genuine love, creativity, and a desire to surprise the consumer. The Aronijas farm is an example of how even a small family farm can develop successfully if the emphasis is placed on quality, responsible management and an innovative approach. This means that even small farms in Latvia have great potential!
