WSIS Prize
In 2017, RSS received a unique winner award WSIS Prize 2017 for RSS Electronic application system (EAS) during the World information Summit (WSIS forum). RSS electronic application system was recognised as the best IT tool for farmers in the world. Latvia has received this award for the first time in this prestigious IT competition.
UN public Service award
In 2015, the RSS for Electronic application system (EAS) has received 2nd place in the United Nations (UN) contest “2015 United Nations public Service award” in the category "Promoting Whole of Government Approaches in the Information Age". This is a very high assessment, and in Latvia one of the public institutions receives the prize for the services provided for the first time.
Platinum mouse
In 2008 Rural Support Service introduced the Electronic application system (EAS), but already in 2009 the RSS received the Latvian ICT Prize “Platinum mouse 2009” for the implementation of the Electronic application system and automated application scanning and recognition system.
E-Index
During Digital Forum's “data-driven nation,” RSS received E-Index award as 2018's best national governing body in the measurement of the e-Index.
Also measured by the 2022 public authorities and the municipal E-Index, RSS has been awarded the highest estimate among 115 public authorities.
Sustainability Index
In 2016, the “Sustainability Index” was first attended by a public authority - the Rural Support Service received a bronze grade, demonstrating that both public administration and businesses can work on the same principles of responsibility and sustainability.
Excellent employer DNA
For a competency approach to staffing, RSS won the “outstanding employer DNA 2017” competition.
Annual award of the Employers' Confederation of Latvia
At the end of 2016, RSS received the Latvian Employers' Confederation of Latvia Confederation (LDDK) Annual award 2016 as the most employer-friendly public institution.
Customer Service Awards
In late 2018, with the Cabinet of Ministers Customer Service honorary award, RSS customer service work was also highly appreciated in the residents' vote and four RSS employees received recognition articles.
At the end of 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers Customer Service honorary award paid tribute to public administration employees whose responsiveness and excellent customer service were highly appreciated by residents. Also among the highly regarded specialists are four service colleagues who have received a large number of client votes.
In 2017, Rural support Service Customer Service specialists won 2nd place in the annual “Customer Service month” campaign for excellence in the provision of state and local government services and 3rd place in the “secret buyer” category.
In 2016, the Cabinet of Ministers Customer Service Annual award “Excellent example 2016” recommended by residents to the most professional and responsive public administration employees - we are proud that the top customer service specialist of the year works for RSS North Vidzeme Regional Agricultural Department customer service specialist - Inita Taurina!
In “Praise good Service 2016” RSS won the Customer Service Excellence award in the state and local government sector, as well as the very important rating - the Excellence award as a customer service leader in the “secret buyer” assessment.
Effective governance Annual award
In 2012, the Rural support Service received an “Effective Management award of the year.” The main prize - a bronze lion statue made by Gosha Huskivadze - was awarded to RSS in the public administration category for introducing principles of good governance into the public administration body through change management, improved resource efficiency management and a creative approach to reducing administrative burden on customers. .
Golden helmet
In 2014, the Labour Inspectorate organised a good practice competition in labour protection “Golden helmet”, rewarding companies that have demonstrated significant and innovative performance in ensuring safe and healthy working conditions. The category of large enterprises and organisations included the Rural support Service, which is the first and only public body to compete and win the first place.
