Zaļgans kviešu lauks ar vārpām un tumšu koku zonu tālumā

Jānis Zeltiņš, who runs ZS "Bindāri" in Aknīste parish, has been familiar with the fields since childhood. Farm work has become a big part of his life and an inspiration to continue working in his native region. The Bindāri farm, managed by Jānis, is a place where enterprise, knowledge and determination come together in everyday work, creating a stable and growing farm.

The farm began operating in 2015 with sheep farming, but the following year Jānis realized that his path lays in grain farming, where he had the opportunity to work on a larger scale and develop the farm as he had envisioned. In 2017, the Bindāri farm was officially established. Currently, the farm manages around 144 ha of land, mainly growing winter wheat, oats, winter rapeseed, and peas.

The knowledge gained about modern agricultural methods and business principles is successfully applied in everyday work, planning crop structure, selecting the most suitable crops, and introducing new technologies. With the support of the EAFRD and the European Union, the farm has purchased the necessary equipment to enable Bindāri to operate competitively and work in a more modern way.

The farm uses modern farming methods, and Jānis is knowledgeable, enterprising, and open to new technologies, which he purposefully implements in his work. Right now the direction of development for Bindāri is clear – to increase farming capacity, expand the area of land under cultivation, and continue to develop production on a larger scale.
