Pro Natural is a great example of how a passion for natural resources and an innovative approach to health can lead to a purposeful and growing business. Since 2014 the company has been active in the agricultural sector, specialising in the cultivation, collection and processing of medicinal plants on the Ozolkalni farm in Kombuļi parish, Krāslava region, positioning itself in the field of ethnopharmacology, where traditional knowledge about plants is combined with a modern approach to health promotion, with a particular focus on supporting women's reproductive health.
With the support of the LEADER programme, the company developed the cultivation of medicinal plants and organic farming in the Natura 2000 area, with a particular focus on the cultivation of German chamomile (Matricaria Recutita). In addition, small-scale cultivation of various other medicinal plants is being experimented with.
With the support of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), a natural products production facility was set up, where products based on teas, hydrolates, essential oils and seeds and the brand "femme.eco" are produced. These products are intended for both individual use and for collaboration with companies in the pharmaceutical, medical, cosmetology and food sectors.
The farm, with its ambition and values-based approach, has managed to turn a small experimental farm into a company with an international outlook and a clear mission: to promote a natural and healthy lifestyle for women.
