On the shores of Lake Sasmakas, surrounded by the hundred-year-old trees of Ārlava Manor Park, a special place was created – "Dunduriņi". This oasis of relaxation and celebration is the cherished dream of the Dunduriņi family, which has become a reality thanks to love, hard work and co-financing from the European Union.
The initial idea for the business came from looking at a special corner of land by the lake – a place where it is possible to make peace with nature and its beauty. In 2015, when the family became the owners of the land, the journey towards establishing the company "Dunduriņi" began. The farm was founded in 2016, and since then, with the support of EU funding, several development projects have been implemented that have contributed to the growth of this place.
Today, Dunduriņi is a spacious, versatile venue for celebrations and recreation. There is a party house, a beautiful orangery, cottages available for guests, glamping tents, and a variety of entertainment options — from a sauna and hot tub to playgrounds, SUP boards, and boats.
The special atmosphere of Dunduriņi lies in family values and the family's desire to create a place where everyone feels welcome, appreciated, and inspired. "We believe that everyone deserves a moment of rest in a tasteful and comfortable environment – whether it's a picturesque holiday cottage or a simple tent site," say the owners of Dunduriņi.
Support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) has been significant for the development of Dunduriņi, helping to implement both infrastructure construction and diversification of the services offered. Every year, this place becomes more attractive, higher quality and more accessible to visitors from all over Latvia.
