The owner Dace started her business in 2016 with the support of the LEADER project, co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), by building a guest house and a barn for celebrations on the bank of the Daugava River. These investments became the basis for the creation and further development of a diverse recreation and entertainment venue. Over the years, Avotiņš has become a popular place for recreation and celebrations. Continuing her cooperation with the Rural Support Service, Dace is implementing a new development project – the construction of seven camping cabins and the installation of a heat pump are planned in order to diversify the offer, reduce heating costs and improve energy efficiency.
The complex's location on the bank of the Daugava River gives it a special appeal – guests can enjoy the peace and quiet, the proximity of the water and the Latgale landscape, relax in the sauna or hot tub, or celebrate important life events. The place offers a wide range of opportunities for both relaxation and celebrations – rental of the territory and a festive barn for weddings and other events, accommodation in glamping tents, a sauna house and a guest house, as well as rental of a sauna and outdoor hot tubs.
The hostess's vision and thoughtful approach to entrepreneurship prove that it is possible to create a sought-after tourist destination in rural areas, strengthening the image of Latvian rural tourism and promoting regional development with the support of the EAFRD.
